Incorporated in January of 1972, Southwest Virginia Legal Aid is a private, non-profit law firm providing free civil legal assistance to low-income families in southwestern Virginia.

For fifty years, we have provided free, quality legal services for the people of Southwest Virginia.  Our attorneys have over 100 years of combined experience in representing clients and addressing legal problems.  Our firm handles family law, domestic violence, consumer law, landlord-tenant disputes, housing law, bankruptcies and protection of government benefits, among others.  Our attorneys and staff stand ready to assist you with your legal needs.
